Jamie Whitlow is a visual artist based in Nashville, Tennessee utilizing several different mediums to create both 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional artwork, primarily in the surrealist style. Jamie participates in art forms such as acrylic painting, drawing, digital art, mural painting, photography and sculpture. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science in Art Practices with two minors in sociology and psychology. Her paintings, drawings and photography explore the human experience, manifesting the emotional aspects of life into visual form. Jamie takes realistic symbols of life, love, and pain and juxtaposes them in a collage-like manner within her art, to create surrealistic multiverses. She also creates public art in form of murals and sculpture installations, creating larger than life spaces for people to come together within. Her goal as an artist is to create things that are physically and metaphorically bigger than herself.
